Efficient linkage map construction in R.
Sunday 27 November 2016 14:00 – 16:40
This workshop will provide an introduction to the linkage map construction and diagnosis package R/ASMap. An initial component of the workshop will introduce and explore R/qtl cross objects as well as appropriate pre-construction quality control of genetic data using functions available in R/qtl and R/ASMap. The flexibility of the core linkage map construction function in R/ASMap will be explored and the use of post linkage map construction graphical diagnosis R/ASMap functions will be discussed. It will also be shown how R/ASMap can be efficiently used to conduct post linkage map construction techniques including identification and orientation of linkage groups, pushing in additional markers and combining maps. Time permitting, various additional tips and tricks will be presented.
Please be advised the workshop is optional and is not included in the registration fee. For further information regarding fees and to register please click here.
Further information on the program will be available shortly. In the meantime please join our mailing list to be kept up to date with information on AASC 2016.
